Wishmire & The High Hopes make their debut at The Shed inside the Smokin’ Monkey Lounge!

Ripping off the dusty covers of old amps to adorn them in some new acid influenced tapestry or searching for the best place to roll a cigarette filled with an indeterminate substance while a cheap speaker blasts a familiar Garcia lick is a moment you might spend with Maryville, Tennessee based band Wishmire and the High Hopes. J.R. Wishmire and Gavin Kattesh began playing music together in their school years, guitar and drums respectively. In the following years Aiden Lamb would join on bass to complete the trio. “When all the Maids Die,” the first official offering by this line up would be released in 2020. In late 2021 through the summer of 2022 Wishmire would release multiple singles, produced by Lamb, that offered a more raw, psych influenced sound. Carrying on this new vibe now joined by Evan Hurst and Trey Wilson, Wishmire and the High Hopes will release their first full length  album on March 3rd, 2023 coinciding with their first appearance and album release at the Shed in Maryville, Tennessee.
